DELICIOUS GAJAR KA HALWA
Hello Friends!
Today I am going to talk about a famous north indian dessert that is GAJAR KA HALWA.
Everybody in north India loves GAJAR KA HALWA its the most famous dessert in north india which get cook at least once in a week in everyone's house,
This recipe would helps the beginners who are willing to try cooking some dessert for the first time.
I have tried to keep the recipe simple but delicious.
NO COMPROMISE WITH TASTE😉
so lets begin with the recipe
INGREDIENTS:-


  1. CARROT(500gm)
  2. SUGAR(150gm)
  3. GHEE(4-5tsp)
  4. GREEN CARDAMON(7-8 pcs)
  5. CASHEW NUTS(25gm)
  6. MAWA (100gm) OR KACHA KOLA MISTHI(if u live in kolkata)
  7. MILK(250gm)
TIME OF COOKING:- 2 hrs

METHOD OF COOKING:-

  1. First wash the carrots and then peel them off and grate them in a bowl, it takes a lot time and hard work so have patience
  2. then put a pan on the gas and put 4-5 tsp ghee, let the ghee melt and then add the grated carrots in the pan and then saute it throughly
  3. saute the carrot till it changes colour to dark orange colour and raw smell of carrot has gone
  4. then add sugar and saute them well
  5. after sauting all the things well, add milk 
  6. let them all boil for 15 mins
  7. once the carrots is cook, crush green cardamon and add them in it 
  8. now the secret part, instead of putting the crushed nuts. roughly blend the cashew nuts and then add them in gajar ka halwa
  9. once u added all the things, increase the flame and stir the halwa continuosly till it dries. turn off the flame
  10. add the mawa in hot gajar ka halwa and stir, decorate with more nuts and serve them and enjoy the taste with your family and friends
